This Privacy Policy explains how Rahman Foundation (RF) or "we" uses personal and other types of information collected from you when you visit the www.rahmanfoundation.org website (the "Site"). This policy does not apply to the practices of companies not owned or controlled by RF or to people whom RF does not employ or manage. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Site and the Services. Your access for using the Site and Services is also subject to the Terms of Use. Types of Information We Collect

  1. Personal Information : We collect personal information that you provide us when you create your user account. Such personal information consists of: your full name, username, email address, your address, country of residence and age. This is required for any online transactions you make from the Site ("Personal Information").

  2. Aggregate and Anonymous Data : Aggregate and anonymous data is information that does not identify you specifically, including data collected automatically when you enter our Site ("Non-Personal Data"). This may include cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, browser analysis tools and web server logs. This also includes information from the devices you use to access our Site or mobile platform, your operating system type or mobile device model, browser type, domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone of your device. Authenticity of Information provided

You hereby represent to us that, the information you provide is and shall be authentic, correct, current, and you have all the rights, permissions and consents as may be required to provide such information to us. Further you providing the information to us and our consequent storage, collection, usage, transfer, access or processing of the same, shall not be in violation of any third party agreement, laws, charter documents, judgments, orders and decrees. We and each of our entities officers, directors, contractors or agents shall not be responsible for the authenticity of the information that you provide to us.

You shall indemnify and hold harmless us and each of our entities officers, directors, contractors or agents and any third party relying on the information provided by you in the event you are in breach of this Privacy Policy.

How We Use Personal Information and Non-Personal Data

We use Personal Information and Non-Personal Data to :
  1. Build, operate and improve our Site and the Services

  2. Perform user analytics

  3. Provide customer support

  4. Communicate with you and provide additional information that may be of interest to you such as, for exRFle, Sending causes that we believe may be of interest to you based on your geographic location and previous use of the Service

  5. Send you reminders, technical notices, updates, security alerts and support, and

  6. Manage our everyday business needs such as Site administration, analytics, fraud prevention, or to comply with the law.

Use of your Credit/Debit Card Details

Your credit and debit card details submitted while making a donation on the Site goes through the safe and secure transaction process provided by our payment gateway partners, which only include the most trusted payment gateways in India. Furthermore, you will also be taken through a 3D secure verification such as "Verified by Visa" or "Master Card 3D Secure" password protected process to prevent any misuse of your debit/credit cards. Your credit/debit card details (card numbers, passwords, CVV numbers, etc.) are not stored by RF or the website. Such information is only used by certified payment gateway to complete the payment transaction.

When and Why We Disclose Personal Information and Non-Personal Data

  • Except as provided herein, we will not display on the Site, or otherwise disclose your Personal Information to anythird parties unless it is necessary to provide the Services, when required by law, or if we have good faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary to :

  1. comply with current judicial proceedings, a court order or legal process served on us

  2. protect and defend our rights, property and interests, including by enforcing our agreements, policies and Terms of Use;

  3. respond to claims that any submitted content violates the rights of third parties

  3. Causes you’ve backed

  4. Causes you’ve launched / posted / created

If you are a Donor, we will share your account name and the amount of your donation and your payment information with our third-party payment processor.

We may share Non-Personal Data with analytics companies to learn information about how our users interact with the Site. This enables us to optimize the Service and improve our efforts. See also "Third Party Analytics" below. We will never sell your Personal Information or Non-Personal Data.

Anonymity

The Site allows any Donor to make an "anonymous" donation to a Cause. By choosing to be anonymous, the Site does not publish your name or image in the cause donor information. The Site would however provide your name, Pan Card details, address and you opt for a receipt for the purpose of tax deduction.

Your Choices

You can opt-out of receiving our emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each such email or by contacting us at [email protected]. You can modify or delete the Personal Information you have provided to us by logging in and updating your profile. We will retain your information only for as long as needed to provide you the Services or as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Third Party Analytics

This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information by RF. We may use analytics services to help us analyse the information we have collected from you. These analytics services may use cookies, web beacons and other devices and technologies to track traffic data. Data that they collect typically includes, but is not limited to, your IP address, your ISP, the browser you use to visit our Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, such technologies placed by third party analytics services.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 18, and does not consciously collect any Personal Information from children under the age of 18. We request that all users be at least 18 years old (or a legal age in the respective jurisdiction) or have received parental consent and supervision when using the Service.

Security

The Site has adopted reasonable security practices and procedure to ensure that the personal information collected is secure. and adequate when you register with us/create an account. While it is our endeavour to take all reasonable and appropriate steps to keep secure any information which we hold about you and prevent unauthorized access, you acknowledge that the internet is not 100% secure, and that we cannot provide any absolute assurance regarding the security of your personal information. This Platform is operated by RF and has been created to provide information about our company, our online platform designed to permit users to post a fundraising cRFaign to accept monetary donations, and our related services (together with the Platform, the "Services") to our Services users and visitors ("you," and/or "your"). Except as provided below, this Privacy Policy describes and governs how we collect, use, share and protect data collected from users of or visitors to the Platform.

Our Services may include online chats and message boards.   1. Information That is Passively or Automatically Collected

Device && Usage Information :

When you use the Services to organize a fundraising cRFaign, the Services may request that you provide your city or town and state or province of residence. Please keep in mind that other users of the Services may be able to view your city or town and state or province of residence in connection with the cRFaign, if it is made available within rahmanfoundation.org's Public Search Directory. We may also use your location information in an aggregate way, as described above in the "Aggregated Data" section.

Cookies and Other Electronic Technologies :

When you interact with the Services, we try to make that experience simple and meaningful. When you visit our Platform, our web server sends a cookie to your computer or mobile device. Cookies are small pieces of information that are issued to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or access or use a mobile application, and that store and sometimes track information about your use of the Platform. Also, if you use any feature of the Services permitting you to communicate with third parties (such as to refer a third party to the Services or to communicate with them regarding a cRFaign or a donation), either by submitting Third-Party Data to the Services or otherwise permitting the Services to automatically access Third-Party Data in your possession, you acknowledge and agree that you have the authority of the relevant third party for us to access and use the relevant Third-Party Data and that you have notified these third parties and informed them how their information is collected and used by rahmanfoundation.org to provide the Services. We reserve the right to identify you as the person who has made the referral in any messages that are sent to them. We may use Third-Party Data to (1) contact such third party using the Third-Party Data provided, and/or (2) provide you with an editable template message designed to facilitate communication between you and such third party through the Services. Mobile Services :

There are certain circumstances in which we may share information collected through the Services with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below :

Business Transfers :

As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution, similar event, or steps taken in anticipation of such events (e.g., due diligence in a transaction), user information may be part of the transferred assets.

Agents, Consultants, Vendors and Related Third Parties :

Rahman Foundation, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions on its behalf, and we may provide access to or share your information with these companies so they can perform services for us. ExRFles of such functions include marketing, mailing information, data storage, security, fraud preventions, payment processing, legal services, and maintaining databases.

Legal Requirements :

rahmanfoundation.org may access, disclose, transfer and preserve your information when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to: (i) comply with the law including with subpoenas, search warrants, court orders, and other legal process and respond to inquiries or requests from government, regulatory, law enforcement, public authorities, or content protection organizations (ii) protect and defend the legal rights, privacy, safety or property of rahmanfoundation.org, its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, agents, contractors, or its users (iii) permit us to pursue available remedies, commence, participate in, or defend litigation, or limit the damages we may sustain or (iv) enforce this Privacy Policy or any applicable Terms of Service.

Cause Organizers

If you donate to a fundraising cRFaign, we may share your name, email address and other information you've provided in connection with your donation with the cRFaign organizer, who may contact you.

Your consent

We may share your information in the event that you consent to the sharing of your information.

Aggregate and/or De-Identified Information

We may aggregate and/or de-identify your information so that the information no longer relates to you individually. Our use and disclosures of such aggregated or de-identified information is not subject to this Privacy Policy and may be disclosed to others without limitation and for any purpose.

Analytics

We may use third-party web analytics services on our Services, such as those of Google Analytics. These service providers use the sort of technology previously described in the 'Cookies and other electronic technologies' section to help us analyze how users use the Services, including by noting the third-party website from which you arrive, and provide certain features to you. The information (including your IP address) collected by the technology will be disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers, who use the information to evaluate your use of the Services.
